Direct Cremations

Over the last few months there has been a growing interest in direct funeral services. With the change in the traditional funerals and the widespread advertising on direct cremations by nationwide companies more people are considering it as an alternative when the time comes.

These services are a private burial or cremation with no attendance, where we convey your loved one to their final resting place. If you opt for a cremation we will return the ashes to you usually within 24-48 hrs after the cremation. As a family company we feel its important that we can offer these services using a local crematorium with your loved one resting at a chapel of rest locally.

Extra Touches

As well as offering a purely simple cremation or burial service we also strive to offer more flexibility for families to be able to create a unique service to meet their individual needs.

With a direct cremation, whilst the time of the service is given to you there is no attendance at the crematorium. However there are a few additional services we offer families should they wish.

With a private chapel of rest on our premises we can offer the opportunity to visit your loved one at the chapel of rest where they can be dressed in their own clothing should you wish.
We also offer the option of having a service at our chapel of rest, before or after the cremation. You can have an informal gathering or a service with a vicar, minister or celebrant.
We can offer to play any music you request or to have an organist.
All arrangements can be done in your own or home or in our office should you wish
We are happy to help with any newspaper or online notices you wish to place, floral arrangements can be brought to us and we are happy to try and fulfil any request you should have.
